Abandoned Tunnels

Before it can escape, you rush the beast, intending to slit its throat with a sharp piece of metal debris you've been using as a machete to cut through vines. 

You reach its hulking body and position yourself below its neck. Then, you deftly slice above you. The wound begins to leak purple blood. The beast roars. You didn't cut deep enough. 

A massive paw swats you to the side, and you land against a wall with a splat. Before you can regain your footing, the beast is on you. It clamps you in its jaws, shakes you violently, then bounds further into the jungle.

Eventually, it sets you down in a nest of sorts. You're pnctured by its teeth all over. You sluggishly attempt to clamber out of the nest, but each time you do, it swats you back into the center. Eventually, you fall unconcious. You don't feel it devour you.
