Lower City

Welcome to the Lower City. Life is difficult here. You see shifty shadows in every alleyway, hoping their next target has enough money to buy them their next meal. There is a general air of desperation as you walk the narrow streets. The Royal Guard sends infrequent patrols here. It's easier to get away with crimes, but it's also much harder to get help if you're in danger. You're on your own here.

Yet, there are pockets of beauty in this region. Perhaps you could visit the farmer's market or the riverbank bazaar. You could also explore one of the many small art galleries or get tickets to an underground concert.
