Abandoned Tunnels

You hide behind some foliage in a nook in the tunnel wall. You hear more roaring. 

Right when you think that the danger has passed and it might be worth leaving, you hear the pounding of massive footsteps. Soon after, a massive creature bursts through the jungle. It's like a cross between a tiger and a hawk. It looks like it could easily kill you. Purplish blood is leaking from a wound on one of its paws. 

It stalks past you, clearly hunting. You have a feeling this is the apex predator in this area of the jungle. Best to stay hidden. It continues down the overgrown tunnel until it disappears from sight.

After a long time, you decide the coast is clear. You leave your hiding place, then climb back upwards, in the direction that you think is out of this overgrown region of the Sewers. It wouldn't be safe to stay when this creature is hunting.
